Frequently asked questions

Which primary grade is Operation Burrow designed for?

Operation Burrow is an educational activity for primary grade 6. Through a cooperative investigation, pupils explore social exclusion, homelessness and the importance of having a home, while building empathy and challenging prejudice.

How long does the activity last?

The game lasts up to 45 minutes. Allow one lesson to introduce it, organise teams and play. The teaching materials support further classroom sessions on social exclusion.

How many pupils can take part?

Each game supports 3–10 teams of 1–3 pupils, up to 30 participants. Teams share clues and work together to solve the case, making communication an essential part of the experience.

Does each pupil need a device?

No. Each team shares a phone or tablet with internet access. You also need four printed sheets from the game kit per team. We recommend paper and a pen for noting clues.

How do we prepare the game kit?

The organiser creates one game and downloads a ZIP containing four PDFs. Print one set of four sheets per team. All teams must use the same kit to join the same game; then scan the QR code to start.

Is the activity free?

Yes. In the self-guided option, your school can run this activity about social exclusion for free using the instructions. If you prefer a Playduca facilitator, we offer this paid service in Barcelona, Girona, Lleida and Tarragona.

Which languages is the game available in?

Operation Burrow is available in Catalan and Spanish. Choose the language that suits your group to follow instructions, investigate witness accounts and share discoveries across teams.

The Silence of the Mirror explores empathy and positive online relationships through a cooperative mystery. Operation Burrow focuses on social exclusion and the importance of having a home.
